Jillian is currently engaged in developing new business pitches for women's apparel brands. She takes pride in working with senior management teams and has gained a wealth of knowledge from them. With an interest in a broader range of categories, Jillian is eager to align her passions and interests with a company she feels connected to.
During the interview, Jillian detailed her involvement in brand pitching. She explained two variations of brand pitches she's dealt with: launching a new brand and repositioning an existing one. As an example, she discussed the repositioning of the brand 'Tracy'. Jillian and her team conducted a comprehensive customer deep dive, worked closely with the design, sales, and merchandising teams, and assisted in creating a line that elevated the clothing. They also created a brand book and a look book. However, she admitted that working with a budget that could produce high enough quality while remaining affordable was a challenge. Jillian also has experience with marketing look books, having recently launched one for the repositioned 'Tracy' brand. She helped the merchandising and sales team put together meeting presentations for presenting the brand to retailers.
Reflecting on her past experiences, Jillian fondly recalled her internship at Seven House. She described it as demanding and challenging, but it was also her first real fashion experience. She felt triumphant transitioning from a general intern to a personal intern of an account manager, a milestone she still takes pride in.
